Red River Wrecker Donates Ladder Truck to Fulton VFD

David Akin and Rebecca and family donated a 42′ foot long ladder fire truck to the Fulton Rural Fire Department. Gladly accepting the title as a new addition to their fire department were Fulton Mayor Henry Hale and Fire Chief John Pettit. Mayor Hale noted the community and individuals were working together to improve the community of Fulton and without the help of the Akin family the community couldn’t have acquired such a truck for the fire department.

Fire Chief Petit stated while Akin had donated before, this was the biggest donation so far and everything on this fire truck would be an asset. With some training, the department can quickly get “up to speed” on the new equipment.  The Fulton VFD also serves the McNab area.
