PWK Birthday Bash Hosts Dave Almond and PWK Trivia

The Klipsch Heritage Museum Association held its trivia contest Friday (3-8) as part of the PWL Birthday Bash,  asking such questions as from which universities did Paul Klipsch receive degrees. Bash attendees also managed to fit in some cornhole as well.
While the rainy weather might have slowed down the Friday afternoon events, the parking lot for filled up for the combination of food and concert. The weather cooperated by clearing by concert time. There was a fire and an array of food including fajitas, beans, chips, salsa, grilled peppers, brownies, and cake.
Mayor Don Still kicked off the concert stating he was thrilled to have the concert playing downtown in Hope. He reminisced about hearing the speakers in Texarkana and eventually acquiring his own.
Dave Almond performed and his songs included “Son of a Sailor”, “Leroy Brown”, an original song of his own and many other songs that were popular with the crowds.
Managing Director Ginny Sanders stated she was happy with how the event went.
