Curry’s Spring Break Bash enjoyed by youngsters
PRESCOTT – Spring Break is a time for children to let loose, have fun and relax before the final push toward the end of the school year.
For those unable to go anywhere, Ivory Curry has been hosting a Spring Break Bash the last few years. His outreach ministry provides hot dogs, chips, snacks and drinks for the children along with plenty of games to keep them busy for a while. The games includes a Level 14 game truck filled with video games and capable of holding 24 at a time, not to mention the two games available on the truck’s exterior screens.
However, before the truck arrives, Curry has the children gather inside and talks to them about the dangers of drugs and alcohol, telling the children using these things can ruin and/or end their lives.
He pointed out some children can go on vacations during Spring Break and others can’t. He wants to do something for those unable to go anywhere. Later on, Curry plans to take a group of children to Texarkana to bowl.
At Wednesday’s bash, Curry kicked things off by giving the children gifts.
