The Hope Downtown Network met at the Tailgater’s Annex on Thursday (3-21). John Hollis reported on visiting a recent city board meeting and gaining approval for the purchase of planters for the Pocket Park. Steve Harris talked about his meeting with the city board and wanting to connect with Urban Forestry, which is under the Arkansas Forestry Commission.

The Taste of Hope Committee meeting repored this year’s theme will be “Diners and Drive-Ins” and will showcase diners from the past as well as the eateries we have now in Hope.

Bob Erwin reported that a donation had been made of conduit for the Hope Downtown Network building of around 200 feet.

Twyla Pruden was nominated and voted in as a Board Member.

Destination Downtown, an Arkansas, Louisiana and Mississippi program, will have a convention on September 11-13. A Downtown Network representative will be attending.
