Parkinson’s support group in Mineral Springs

A Parkinson’s disease support group for people with Parkinson’s and their care partners is being organized in Mineral Springs, Arkansas.

The meetings will be held at 1:00p, on the first Wednesday of each month, at The Retirement Village, 127 N. Lewis.  These meetings are open to anyone with Parkinson’s, their family members, or anyone interested in learning more about the condition.

No two people with Parkinson’s are alike although they do share similarities.  A support group offers companionship with others experiencing similar issues; the ability to exchange information and share tips for daily living; encouragement by sharing feelings, hopes, and fears, and drawing strength from each other.  It also offers education about the disease,  available medications, how to deal with the side effects of medication, and the available resources, organizations, and websites that can help with specific needs.

We are delighted to be able to serve those in this area.  For more information please contact Nancy Bailey at nbailey@aaaswa.net or call 870-626-3089 and leave a message if prompted.
