PRESCOTT – Commencement exercises were held in the Prescott Sports Arena Sunday afternoon, with 68 seniors walking in and 68 exiting with their diplomas.

Parents, family, relatives and friends packed the gym (all glad for the indoor venue as no one wanted to be in the rain) to see their graduate receive a diploma.

Four were recognized as being highest honors grads, with 15 being named honor graduates. The highest honor grads were: Georgie Crain, Gavin Hatley, Lily Koger and Rocco Loe.

The procession saw the seniors enter in their maroon caps and gowns. Prior to the ceremonies, those in the gym were reminded no one would be allowed on the gym floor at any time before or after the event. They were told they could meet their graduates in the lobby or outside.

From there, the honor grads were given their medals and diplomas were handed out. There were no speeches from the honor graduates this year, but nobody seemed to mind as everyone was ready to see the diplomas presented and honor their graduates. After the tassels were moved and graduates confirmed, mortarboards flew, along with confetti.
