Local artists featured in Washington


WASHINGTON – As part of the “Brushstrokes from the Heart” Exhibit, the work of a current Hempstead County artist will be featured every two months. Through the end of June, samples of the work of Carole Braden of Perrytown, Arkansas will be on display as part of the exhibit. Come out and support this local artist.
The work of artists from 19th-century to present-day Washington and Hempstead county are showcased in the “Brushstrokes from the Heart” exhibit. Artwork from Hempstead County residents is featured, including works by Jenny Delony Rice, Mary Carrigan, Carrie Carruth, Effie Anderson Smith, Helen Bittick and Ann Bittick.
The exhibit is located at the 1874 Courthouse Visitor Center and is open every day of the week from 8am—5pm.
