Paul Oller Thanks Hope Lions for Helping Him Get New Prosthetic Eye

The Hope Lions got a “thank you” for their help in helping a Hope man get a new prosthetic eye. Paul Oller of Hope has had a prosthetic eye since he was a small child and lost an eye in a BB gun accident. Several months ago he woke up and learned his prosthetic eye no longer fit. He needed some help to get a new one but that was not covered by his insurance. One of Mr. Oller’s friends contacted Lion Dr. Don Freel to see if the Lions could do anything. The club specializes in sight preservation but inquiring about a prosthetic eye was something else. Dr. Freel made contact with Mid-South Lions Sight and Hearing Services in Memphis and found they do have a program to help with prosthetic eyes. The organization connected Mr. Oller with a professional who fitted him for and produced a new prosthetic eye in one day. Mr. Oller wanted to thank the Hope Lions for their help.
Mr. Oller is well-known around Hope and his photography work often appears on hopeprescott.com and in the “Hope-Prescott News”.
