Rotary, Tri-Services donate to Hamilton Haven
PRESCOTT — Two local organizations made gifts to Prescott nonprofit Hamilton Haven.
Hamilton Haven assistant executive director Christy Higginbotham recently spoke to the Prescott Rotary Club at the invitation of Rotary president Patricia Roberts. Roberts subsequently presented Higginbotham with a $500 donation for Hamilton Haven.
“We are always looking to work with organizations that exemplify the Rotary motto of ‘Service Above Self’ — we feel that’s what Hamilton Haven brings to our community and we’re happy to help,” Roberts said.
“It was an honor to speak to Rotary about our mission,” said Higginbotham. “We appreciate what they do, and we look forward to collaborating with them in the future.”
Opening in 2020, Hamilton Haven provides emergency housing to temporarily displaced families and individuals.
The Tri-Service Club donated $300 to Hamilton Haven.
“Tri-Service is proud to help our community,” Tri-Service Club present Brenda Barham said. “We are here to serve.”
Hamilton Haven executive director Michele Hamilton Rhodes expressed appreciation to both clubs.
“It’s a blessing to receive this investment from Rotary and Tri-Service,” Rhodes said. “It’s another example of everyone working together for a common goal of improving lives.”
