Southwest Arkansas Well-Represented at Arkansas Country Music Awards

Southwest Arkansas was well represented at the Arkansas Country Music Awards Monday (June 3rd) in Conway.  Hope’s own Mae Estes was honored with the “Momentum Award”, a special award for a past ACMA winner or nominee that has been signed to a major label.  Estes is currently working on her debut album for Big Machine Records.

Johnny Sprayberry of Lamartine was the recipient of the “Arkansas Honors Arkansas” award.  Sprayberry was a regular performer at the Patmos Jamboree in the 1960’s before founding the Columbia County Hayride in 1971.  The show ran monthly for over 52 years.  Shown with Sprayberry is one of the hundreds of young performers the Hayride showcased, Nevada County’s Brady Rhoads.
