The Hope Piranhas Swim Team are back at it and showing off a few of their recently earned ribbons. The team consists of both a year-long and summer only group. The year-long swimmers competed in Monticello two weeks ago. This past Saturday the Piranhas brought 19 swimmers to Warren competing against 8 teams in the South Arkansas region. The two teams combined collected 40 first place finishes, 10 second place finishes, 6 third place finishes, 5 fourth place finishes, 3 fifth place finishes, 6 sixth place finishes, and 3 eighth place finishes in 91 events. The relay teams swept the competition with 9 out of 10 1st place wins. The team has many new faces that competed in their inaugural meet this past Saturday. The coaching staff is very proud of all the hard work these kids put into swimming each year. We look to have an outstanding season this summer. The team has begun training for The Junior Olympics Qualifiers which will take place over the next two weekends. We are hoping to qualify as many swimmers as possible to represent Hope and Team Arkansas in North Carolina this July.
