EVA gearing up for July 4 celebration

EMMET – This year’s Fourth of July celebration in Emmet will take place in a different location.

Instead of the old school building grounds, the event will be at Firemen’s Park, starting at 5 p.m. Fireworks will be shot off at sunset.

There will be live music, food trucks, vendor booths, face painting, a children’s slide, a most patriotic outfit, children’s patriotic parade and decorated bikes and atvs.

According to Deanna Allen, with the EVA, Hines Trucking is sponsoring the fireworks display this year and 67 Gas and Grill is sponsoring the bounce houses. Tiffany Cagle’s Boutique is taking care of the children’s train ride.

The reason for the change of location, she said, is to take advantage of the new pavilion.

This year’s live entertainment will feature the Silvey Family. Allen said applications are still being accepted for vendor booths and food item sales. For more information, call Allen at 903-559-3631.
