Red River Wrecker Services Wins “Best of Show” at Wrecker Show in Fort Worth

Those of us that occasionally have to go to an accident scene understand that Red River Wrecker Services in Fulton has particularly nice and sophisticated equipment.  But what we may not know is there are shows for wreckers.  David and Rebecca Akin of Red River entered their wrecker “Optimus Prime” in the recent Wrecker Show in Fort Worth, Texas and received “Best of Show”.  This honor was voted on by the people attending the show.

Optimus Prime started life as a 1997 Peterbilt 379.  RRWS bought it in 2009 on an ebay auction.  It was used as a tow truck and won 1st place in the 2011 San Antonio Tow Show.  The vehicle was restored earlier this year by the Fulton Mafia and the result is the award at the Fort Worth show.  Our congratulations go to the Akins and the staff of Red River Wrecker Services!
