Hope Kiwanis Club Hears Watermelon Festival Program

The Hope Kiwanis Club heard from Hope/Hempstead County Chamber of Commerce Director Christy Burns on Tuesday (6-25).  Burns and her beauty queen daughter were on hand to talk about this year’s Hope Watermelon Festival.  The festival is set for August 8th through 10th in Fair Park.  This year’s theme is “Homegrown Happiness”.  The concert this year will feature Rodney Atkins.  The ladies also showed off the new Watermelon Festival t-shirts which are now available.
