Rev. Jimmy Dale, 76, of Nashville
Rev. Jimmy Dale, 76, of Nashville passed away July 9th. Jimmy was a proud graduate of Nashville High School and Southern State College (now SAU) in Magnolia. Following college he taught school at Waldo and Umpire. He later worked for General Electric in Memphis. He returned to Arkansas in the 1970’s to manage the Southwest Arkansas Furniture Store in Glenwood. Jimmy moved back to Nashville and worked for Southwest Arkansas Furniture there until 1993. He then worked for Pete and Janice Polk at Polk’s Furniture in Magnolia until opening the Ivan Smith Store in Hope in 1995. Jimmy and his son Mark opened the Ivan Smith store in Nashville in 1996. In the early years of the 21st century he left the furniture business and worked for the city of Nashville until retirement.
Jimmy was the minister for 31 years at the Washington Baptist Church.
