Hempstead County Economic Development Corporation President Anna Powell speaks to Civitan

The Hope Civitan Club heard from Anna Powell, President of the Hempstead County Economic Development Corporation, at its regular meeting on July 9.  Powell, right, with Civitan President Mona Still, outlined the efforts and responsibilities of the HCED Corporation.  She also invited the club to watch HCED videos on YouTube, prepared for marketing local properties to industries or manufacturers with potential interest in Hempstead County.  Powell said she has attended meetings and trainings, focusing on learning the new and best methods for promoting economic development in our area.  The Hope Civitan Club meets at 6 p.m. on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month at Dos Loco Gringos Restaurant.  Visitors are invited to attend any meeting.
