Hope City Wide Clean-Up A Success

While it was a rainy day the trash clean up went well with Nathaniel Holyfield, the Sanitation Supervisor saying the crew did what they were supposed to do. 43 loads of trash were picked up with 38 done by the city and 5 by the residents. It amounted to a total of 608 cubic yards. Dorsey Askew was the leader for the week. 36 city employees were involved. Police picked up paper on Grady, Park Drive and West 7th.
The event happens twice a year, in April and two weeks before the Watermelon Festival.
