Brazzel/Oakcrest Unveils New Portrait of Founder Eddie Brazzel

Persons visiting Brazzel/Oakcrest in Hope will be greeted by a new portrait of the founder, the late Eddie Brazzel.  Owner Ben Brazzel noted he has wanted to honor his father’s memory and searched for the right photo from which a portrait could be based.  The photo utilized as a guide was an informal snapshot taken of Eddie Brazzel at the 2016 Chamber of Commerce banquet.

For those of us that were friends with Eddie Brazzel (and that’s most of two counties), the painting is a lovely remembrance of a man who gave 44 years of his life to Hempstead and Nevada County.  Eddie passed away in April of 2023.
