Hempstead County Library to close rest of the week for wasp removal

HOPE – The Hempstead County Library in Hope be closed for the remainder of this week (August 15-17) and will reopen Monday, August 19th. The building is currently overrun with red wasps, and they are having it fogged. Items due this week will be extended to the 19th. “We sincerely apologize for this inconvenience, the library said in a statement.
