Changes to this year’s Howard County Fair

NASHVILLE – The Howard County Fair Association has announced they will not be able to provide a carnival at the fair this year. In a statement, the Association said, “Times are tough, and the carnival that we have used for several years is no longer in business. Fair board members have worked tirelessly over the past several weeks, doing research and making countless phone calls, in hopes of booking an alternate carnival. That being said, carnivals book up months in advance, and we were not given much of a warning that we would need to find alternative entertainment.

The Association stated they have made multiple connections through their search and have meetings scheduled with carnivals for next year’s fair. “We waited until last minute to make this announcement in the hopes that we will be able to find another carnival, but we have something a little different in store for you guys…”

“We have heard it said that a fair is not fair without a carnival, but we disagree. A fair is fair because of our exhibitors, vendors, and community members. As sad as we are, that we will not be able to provide your “traditional” fair entertainment, we are very excited to announce that the CIRCUS IS COMING TO TOWN! Ticolini Circus is going to give a new purpose to the Howard County Fair midway.”

Howard County Fair Week is September 2nd-7th.
