PARIS – The Arkansas Association of County Clerks held its 56th Annual Conference last week at Mount Magazine State Park near Paris, AR. More than 800 attendees participated in several breakout sessions and heard from Gov. Sarah Sanders, U.S. Sen. Tom Cotton, motivational speaker Glen Ward, Christina Kucek, who spoke about artificial intelligence, and Arkansas GIS Director Shelby Johnson.

Representatives from the Arkansas Secretary of State’s Office and the State Board of Election Commissioners led a discussion and Q& A session with the clerks about the upcoming General Election. The association’s new officers were sworn in, including Hempstead County Clerk Karen Smith as Treasurer.
