Larry Dean Morrow

Larry Dean Morrow of Prescott, Arkansas passed to his eternal rest on September 10, 2024, and was welcomed on “that other shore” by those loved ones who preceded him there, including his loving wife of 46 years, Janey.  Larry was born March 9, 1945, to Robert H. and Mary E. Morrow in Little Rock, Arkansas, the youngest of five children. Preceding him in eternal passage were his parents; siblings, Doris M. Burke, Robert H. Morrow, Tommy L. Morrow; and grandson Tyler Morrow.

He spent much of his working career in the oil and trucking industries after working short stints at Western Auto, ARKLA Gas, and the Army National Guard.  Larry embraced his homeplace in the country working on various crafts such as wood working and mechanical hobbies, there he felt a peaceful sanctuary.  During his younger years, Larry enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening, boating, motorcycling, and camping – a true outdoorsman.  His love of a good joke, laughter, heartfelt goodbye hugs and well wishes will be missed by all who knew him. Larry was a devoted husband, father/grandfather, brother, and uncle. Although he endured many challenges in life, his humor and strength sustained us through hard times.  A unique gift and special trait that few possess.

The family wishes to thank all the healthcare professionals and first responders who extended his passage here on earth to much longer than he ever expected.

Larry is survived by his sister Mary Lou Nivens; five sons, Greg (Jennifer), Jeff, Chris (Tracy), Jason (Rachael), and Jeremy; grandchildren Grayson, Kati, Colen, Abby, Tanner, Morgan, Cayden, Chason, Collier, and Bennet; and great-grandchildren Zion, Matthew, Tilly, and Sutton.

Visitation of family and friends will begin at 9AM, Saturday September 14th, followed by a Celebration of Life service at 10AM, both to be held at Missionary Grove Baptist Church in the Nubbin Hill Community, Prescott, Arkansas with Bro. Neal Ridling officiating.
