Nevada County Fair Livestock Show

On Wednesday (9-11) there were livestock shows at the Nevada County Fair, starting with chickens and rabbits, followed by goats and sheep and ending with cattle and pigs.

While the weather wasn’t the best, many people braved it to watch the goats, sheep, cattle and pig judging.

One of the judges explained his reasons for giving the top slot to one animal over another, saying it was simply his opinion and to continue with what the trainers taught. With the sheep, he commended all of the girls handling them saying they had all been trained well and there was only a slight difference between the winner and the other girls in their showmanship.

The exhibits were also open in the evening.
