ROC WELCOMES VISIT FROM AREA AND STATE EDUCATION OFFICIALS

Making Rainbows in Hope recently enjoyed a visit from officials representing areas of early education in the State. Joining our ROC staffers led by Michelle Bowlin were Katlin Niemeyer, Local Leads Captain for SWAEC, Leigh Keener, State Board member from the Arkansas Board of Education, and Angie Gentry, Early Childhood Coordinator at SWAEC.

ROC was represented by Danielle Flemming and Jamya Rivera, who took the trio through classrooms on a walking tour.

The group took a complete tour of the Children’s component beginning with the sensory hallways, floors, walls, and classroom doors displaying their bright colors, alphabet letters, numbers, and pads. Everything a child sees is designed to stimulate learning as they travel throughout the building and make it fun.
The group made sure to see the children’s therapy rooms complete with essentials to help with physical therapy and make it fun too. Also included was a trip to the ABC classroom wing but not before spending time in the ROC playground, complete with equipment that is designed to be safe but definitely super fun.
