Hope Kiwanis Inducts New Officers
The Hope Kiwanis Club inducted new officers on Tuesday (10-1). The induction was made by Lt. Governor Charlotte Bradley.
New members to the board of directors will include Jack Easterling, Maurice Henry, and Kenneth Muldrew. Mr. Henry was unable to attend.
Brian Berry has agreed to continue as Secretary of the Club. He was re-elected to that position.
Jerry Pruden was installed as Treasurer. He has served in this capacity for 24 years.
Frances Hendrix was installed as a Vice-President. Colby Powell will also serve as Vice-President but was unable to attend.
Nathaniel Holyfield was installed as President Elect.
Jimmy Courtney is Immediate Past President. He will remain on the board for another year as Past President.
Don Still was installed as the new President. Past President Jimmy Courtney immediately “passed the gavel” over to President Still.
Following the meeting the club held a board meeting to discuss their annual smoked pork butt sale.
The Kiwanis Club was chartered in 1928 at the Barlow Hotel in Hope.
