Hope Police Department announces arrests

HOPE – On Thursday, October 3rd, 2024, at about 9:40 am, officers with the Hope Police Department arrested Barbara Cooper, 71 of Hope, in the 300 block of South Hazel Street. Ms. Cooper was charged with two counts of Delivery of a Controlled Substance (Prescription Drugs) and held at the Hempstead County Detention Facility awaiting a first court appearance.

On Thursday, October 3rd, 2024, Carlyn Routon, 58 of Texarkana, AR was arrested in Texarkana, AR for a warrant from the Hope Police Department. On Friday, October 4th, 2024, at 1015 hours, Routon was brought to the Hempstead County Detention Facility where she was charged with Theft of Property. Routon was held pending a first court appearance.
