Hope Lions Hear from Dr. David Rankin and Dr. Beth Anne Rankin Baker

The Hope Lions Club had a very special program on Monday (10-7).  Dr. Beth Anne Rankin Baker and her dad, Dr. David Rankin spoke on economics and in defense of Capitalism.  The Rankins have authored a book entitled “The Economics of Freedom” which is a very accessible book about tying capitalism to the freedoms we enjoy in the U.S.  Their program was clear and succinct as well as explaining the differences between capitalism and socialism.  They were very enthusiastically received by the Lions.
