Caters Class donates more than $5000 for Book Fair

HOPE – Carter’s Class presented Clinton Primary School Librarian Casey Schoenberger with a check for $5650 this morning and still more money to come! The money will be used for students at CPS to purchase a book at the Book Fair. Carter Wilcox is a 4th grader at CPS who started “Carter’s Class” in 2023 after he noticed that not all of his fellow students could purchase books at the book fair. The program also receives matching funds from Scholastic Books, the operator of the book fair. Future plans include small reading groups to help encourage students to read. Carter says, “It’s one thing to get kids books, but it’s another to get them to read.”
