Blevins City Council

The Blevins City Council met on Tuesday (11-5). A water adjustment was mentioned and it was noted the pumps that were received cost the city over $4,000. The compressor was put in without problems. The city was said to be looking good.
The annual millage ordinance was passed. There was no increase but even when the millage stays the same, it must be approved by the governing body yearly.
The financial report was reviewed and passed.
Someone reported their dog being attacked while it was chained. The ordinance about dogs was reviewed. The council changed the wording from the City Marshall to any law enforcement officer being eligible to enforce it. The dog will be taken to the city pound in Nashville if removed. The ordinance will be posted two weeks prior to next month’s city council and be voted on at the next council meeting.
The meeting then adjourned.
