Jimmie Dan Dyer

Jimmie Dan Dyer entered eternal rest on Sunday, November 10, 2024, at the age of 69. He will be deeply missed but never forgotten.

Jimmie was born on January 8, 1955, to Willie Roy and Alice Marie Dyer in Hope, Arkansas. He was a devoted member of the Prescott Church of Christ in Prescott, AR, and was affectionally known as “Lil Preacher Man” for his remarkable memory and ability to quote Bible scriptures. He attended the Blevins School District, where he played basketball.

In 1985, Jimmie married Diann Smith, and to this union, two children were born, Daniel and Hannah, who he loved dearly. Jimmie had a passion for shotting pool, a skill at which he excelled. He also enjoyed hunting and had a deep appreciation for reading; he one read the entire collection of the Encyclopedia Britannica. Jimmie was a quiet soul and a loving person who left a lasting impression on those who knew him.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Willie Roy and Alice Marie Dyer, and his brothers Clarence, Sammie, and Willie Dale Dyer.

Jimmie leaves to cherish his memory: his children, Daniel Dyer and Hannah Dyer; his sisters Alice Faye Biddle, Melba Kaye Edwards, and Mary Stevens; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
