Prescott advances to Round II of Class 3A playoffs

The Prescott Curley Wolves led start-to-finish in the opening rounds of the State Class 3-A Playoffs, drubbing Quitman 35-3.

DeCari Prater opening with a 6-yard touchdown run in the first quarter, and followed up in the second quarter with a 62-yard touchdown pass to Micheal Brownlee. Prater connected as time was winding in the half for 14-yard pass play to Jamarion Monk. The Curley Wolves took a 21-0 lead into the locker room.

Prater took to the air again in the third quarter connecting to Dwayne White on a 38-yard pass play. Quitman scored their only points on a 32-yard field goal. K.J. Page wound Prescott’s scoring up with a 2-yard run on the 4th quarter.

Prescott had 414 yards of total offense.

Prescott will travel to Fulton County next Friday night in round two to play the Salem Greyhounds.
