State Representative-Elect Dolly Henley speaks to Civitan

The Hope Civitan Club heard from State Representative-Elect Dolly Henley at the club’s November 12 meeting.  Pictured (left) with Civitan President Twyla Pruden, Henley explained her desire to serve District 88 as State Representative and talked about her work experience prior to retirement.
She also told the club she would attend the House Organizational Meeting, Tuesday, November 19, in Little Rock, and explained the selection process for standing committees, mentioning the committees on which she would most like to serve.  She said there are 10 standing committees and each member of the House of Representatives serves on one “A” committee and one “B” committee, with the most senior Representative choosing his committees first and the Representative with the least seniority choosing last.
The Hope Civitan Club, with a motto of “builders of good citizenship,” meets on the second and fourth Tuesdays of the month at 6 p.m. at Dos Loco Gringos Restaurant and welcomes guests to attend.  For more information, contact any Civitan member.
