Dakota Greer Passes “Order of the Arrow Ordeal”, Makenzi Golden Passes “Order of the Arrow Brotherhood”

Congratulations to Dakota Greer for passing her Order of the Arrow Ordeal

and Makenzi Golden for passing her Order of the Arrow Brotherhood testing

this weekend at Camp Preston Hunt. First Vice Chief Emma Wright provided

leadership for the event. Cody O’Brien, who is a Brotherhood member,

participated on the Brotherhood Ceremony. You can see him in his Indian

outfit. Interestingly of the 10 Ordeal candidates Dakota was the only

female. And of the 6 Brotherhood candidates Makenzi was the only female

candidate. I am so proud of them. Cody has really stepped up his Scouting

game with increased Troop leadership and now his participation in the OA.

Emma is an example to all Scouts. She is the first female youth Vigil in the

80 year history of the Akela Wahinapay Lodge. And the first female acting

Chief of the Lodge.

We have an outstanding group of Scouts and are recognized as such in the

Council.

Troop 5 was very well represented.

Order of the Arrow is the Scouting fraternity of Cheerful Service to others.

It is an honor earned by them from their fellow Scouts.
