Carolyn Jo Tarpley Neel

Carolyn Jo Tarpley Neel, 84, of Hope, AR, joined her Savior & loved ones in Heaven on December 9, 2024.

Carolyn accepted Jesus as Savior as a young girl, growing up in Okolona, AR. She attended Henderson State University in Arkadelphia, AR. She later made Hope, AR her home to raise her family.

She was a devoted mother & grandmother.

She served Hempstead County as Circuit Clerk for 25 years but worked in that office a total of 46 years. She served in the Business Professional Women’s Club & Lions Club. She was a member of First Baptist Church.

Carolyn loved people, and had a unique ability to make each person that she encountered feel special. She loved flowers, and to decorate her beautiful home.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Joe & Flora Jean Tarpley, a son, Robert Welch Neel Jr. and a grandson, Zane Neel.

Left to cherish her memory are her son, Shawn Neel (Cyndi) of Bryant, AR, daughter in law, Connie Neel, of Nashville, AR, grandchildren, Beth Massey (Bill) of Hope, AR, Ryan Neel of Texarkana, TX, Jakob Neel of Arkadelphia, AR, Jynni Neel of Bryant, AR, Tabitha Hanson (Mike) of Sheridan, AR, Justin Neel (Heather) of Mt Ida, AR, Jason Holt (Amy) of Camdenton, MO, Justin Holt of Russellville, AR, Zak Holt (Alexa) of Bryant, AR, Nikki Martin (Jonathan) of Bryant, AR, & Josh Holt (Kim) of Bryant, AR, as well as 18 great grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren, and a host of family & friends.

Visitation will be held at Brazzel Oakcrest Funeral Home in Hope, AR on December 13, 2024, from 6-8pm & a graveside service will be held at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Arkadelphia, AR on December 14, 2024, at 1pm with Justin Neel & Jason Holt officiating.
