Emmet Acquires New Fire Truck
Emmet recently acquired a new fire truck from Cleveland, Virginia. It is a 2001 Freightliner and replaces a 1968 Fire Truck. Employees of the city picked up the fire truck in Virginia and drove it to Emmet, getting a chance to make sure it was a good purchase. The truck cost $35,000 used and would cost well over $200,000 new. Unlike the older tucks Emmet has, this one was factory built. It has a Superior brand body, a Cat C7 Diesel engine, and an Allison Automatic Transmission.
The truck has only 10,000 miles on it, the link has 200+ hours on it, it has a 1,000 gallon poly tank and has a 1,000 gallon a minute pump.
The two older trucks Emmet has were built by the City of Emmet.
