Nevada County crash claims life Thursday

RURAL NEVADA COUNTY – A Thursday morning one car crash in rural Nevada County killed a Junction City, AR woman. According to the preliminary report from the Arkansas State Police, a 2003 Honda Accord driven by Courtney Swearengin, 22, of Junction City was traveling west on Highway 73 when it left the roadway on the north side and entered a ditch. The Accord then struck a culvert of Nevada County Road 275 and went airborne, collided with an embankment on the opposing side of the county road before coming to a a final west in a creek.

The crash happened at 11:15 am Thursday. Trooper Diondre Fuller investigated.
