Jay Turley named Murfreesboro Rattler head football coach

MURFREESBORO – The South Pike County School voted unanimously Tuesday night to hire Jay Turley as new Rattler football head coach and athletic director. Turley is currently Junior High Principal at Prescott Public Schools. Before accepting the Prescott position, Turley was Co-Athletic Director and Hope High School Head Football Coach

Turley, 53, of Murfreesboro, who was once the Rattler head coach, was picked from a field of 16 applicants that included: Todd Scott, Jonathan Bennett, Trenton Coffman, Dalton Pearson, Dylan Teague, Ashdone Bailey, Paydon Harlow, Tyler Clift, Chad Arnold, Mark King, David Jordan, Caleb Loe, Richard Strickland, Jayden Southard and Jason Hathcock.
