Hope Police Department announces arrests

HOPE – On Tuesday, January 7th, 2025, at about 10:15 am, officers with the Hope Police Department arrested Senai Johnson, 24 of Hope, in the 200 block of East 3rd Street. Ms. Johnson was charged with Aggravated Cruelty to an Animal and held at the Hempstead County Detention Facility awaiting a first court appearance.

On Thursday, January 9th, 2025, at 11:55 am, detectives with the Hope Police Department arrested Anita Joy, 61 of Prescott, AR in the 300 block of South Washington Street. Mrs. Joy was charged with Theft of Property and Fraudulent Use of a Debit/Credit card and held at the Hempstead County Detention Facility awaiting a first court appearance.
