Nevada County Quorum Court

The Nevada County Quorum Court met on January 14th.  Before the meeting began, the public was allowed to make comments.

A prayer and a pledge of allengence kicked off the meeting.  The Prescott school was brought up.  There is a Get Real program — hosted by the Nevada County Extension —  that will teach kids how to do real-world skills, such as exploring the costs of houses, writing a check, etc;.

There was discussion about an ordinance allowing days off for courthouse employees.  It was brought up that the ordinance might need to be discussed with the public more before enacting it.  There was a motion to table the ordinance for a month to allow the public to give input.

The meeting then adjourned.
