Prescott Youth Center

The Prescott Youth Center provides a supervised safe place off the streets where the city’s youth can learn some skills such as computer refurbishment, get some snacks, and play sports and other games. Mike Suggs is on hand to demonstrate skills and answer questions.  The Prescott Youth Center is a collaborative effort as it relies on donations of food, clothing, and other items. Curry’s Outreach Ministry donated burgers at one point and they were cooked up for the youth. Shanta Wiley is the website administrator and Mayor Terry Oliver oversees the general operations.
Mayor Terry Oliver shared this statement on the youth center…
“We opened the youth center in May of 2014. Our first volunteers were Terry and Julie Oliver, Ann and Essence Jordan, Ronald and Gloria Majors. The Presbyterian Church was donated to the City of Prescott and the youth center was born. It was named “The Spot” Youth Center. The youth center had its 10 year anniversary in 2024. The youth center bottom floor can be rented on weekends for parties and baby showers etc.  The rentals are always busy on the weekends so call 870-887-2210 to schedule your party about a week or two early!!!!!!

When fear knocks let faith answer the door! Don’t give up! Don’t ever give up!”
