Charles E. Gulley

Charles E. Gulley, age 66, of Prescott, AR. on December 15, 2024, at Baptist Health Medical Center in Little Rock, AR. God sent his angels to take him from earth to glory as his family were gathered around his bedside.
Charles was born on August 4, 1958, in Prescott, AR to the late Margaret Scott and Pinkie Bryant.
On July 16, 1969, his was adopted by William and Theola Gulley. He was a 1979 graduate of Prescott High School. He was a dedicated employee with SMI Joist as a certified welder for over 20 years until the closing of the company. Charles later became employed with Petit Jean Poultry for a short time then worked for Georgia Pacific in Gurdon, AR., and later retired.
He was a humble soul who loved sitting around and laughing with his family and friends, never allowing anything to come between him and happiness, no matter the circumstances. His favorite words were always, I’m Alright”. He believed in God and accepted Christ as his Savior.
In 1983, Charles married the love of his life, Arlinda Nixon and to this union four children were born. He is preceded in death by his wife, Arlinda Gulley, a baby boy, and a daughter Lencola Murray.
To cherish his memory is his daughter, Ingrid Block (Willious), one son Charles L. Gulley of Prescott, AR. Five sisters: Anita Jones (Gary) of Prescott, AR; Linda McDonald of Westmont, IL; Sherbretta McDonald of Maquoketa, IA; Lisa McDonald of Chicago, IL; Teary Thigpen (Maurice) of Westchester, IL; Three brothers, Robert McDonald Jr. (Yolanda), Dirk McDonald (Pamela) of Summit , IL; David McDonald of Gary, IN. Four half siblings, Diana Kirby of Prescott, AR; Tayo Sanders of Rockford, IL; Tarra Carey (Antony) of Vancouver, WA; Ales Hamilton of Hot Springs, AR. Two stepsisters, Nannette Sanders of Gary, IN; Deidra Sanders of Hope, AR. Two special nieces, DeAngela Jones of North Little Rock, AR; Deidra Jones of Prescott, AR; Four grandchildren, Latavia Nixon of Prescott, AR; Pansy Murray of Texarkana, TX; Jabrea Manigo, AaLiyah Block of Prescott, AR; Three great grandchildren, Ky’air Polk, Keavausie Polk, Salayiah Polk of Prescott, AR. One son-in-law, Joseph Murray of Texarkana, TX; One aunt, Ozella Hopper of Prescott, AR; One uncle, Rickey Scott of Hope, AR; a close friend, Howard Cole of Prescott, AR. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Services were held at Faith Temple Church of God in Christ-Prescott on Saturday, December 28th, 2024, with Supt. Leroy Sworn serving as eulogist.
Interment followed at DeAnn Cemetery in Prescott. Services under the direction of H. D. Malone Funeral Home and Grief Counseling Center, Little Rock, Arkansas.
