Rosston City Council

Rosston held their City Council meeting at City Hall on Monday (2-10). There was a little increase of the budget up to $289,017.58
The city received the new tanker approved last month. The tank needs to be removed from the old truck and put on the new one.
For the street aid project, Nevada 17 is being finished up and this coming summer County Road 127 will be paved. The city was given a $300,000 award for the project and the city will cover the remaining $900 cost.
When the meeting opened up for discussion, the purchase of a new generator for the water tower was brought up. The current generator requires manual switching during storms. The city wants this to be automatic. The cost will be researched.
With the concern expressed elsewhere about the rates going up so much there was an opportunity during the meeting for people to come and speak about it. No one did. The mayor stressed the City has no control over the rates and other communities are dealing with the same issue.
The meeting adjourned.
