Prescott’s Food Share Holds Soup Luncheon

Prescott’s Food Share held a Soup Luncheon on Thursday (2-20) from 11am to 1pm. The event is one of their fundraisers. The reason for this event is the increase of food prices as well as the decrease of grants.  All of the food is donated. There were 12 different kinds of soup and chili, cornbread, crackers, cookies, and drinks. Most people carried out the food while some ate in.  The original plan was to hold the event in January but because of bad weather it was delayed until February.
Food Share’s facility is owned by First Baptist.  The church lets them use it for free as long as they pa for the utilities.
Frank Henson, the President of the Board spoke on the Organization’s behalf.
