Enrique Antonio Campos
Enrique Antonio Campos, 22, passed away peacefully and suddenly on Wednesday, February 19, 2025.
Enrique was born on September 10, 2002, in Hope, AR to Christina Anderson and Antonio Campos.
He is preceded in death by his father, Juan Antonio Campos, maternal grandparents Jess and Jewel Anderson, uncle, Wayne Anderson, uncle, Gary Maas, aunt, Janice Campbell, and his very close cousin, Dustin Andrew.
He is survived by his mom, Christina Anderson, sister Lilian Mendez, brother Michael Campos, aunts Rebecca Campbell, Connie Hawley (Jim), Sandy Vick, Marilyn Gunter, Debbie Campbell, uncles Bobby Campbell, Kenneth Campbell (Peggy), and Jerry Anderson. He is also survived by MANY cousins who he loved dearly.
Enrique had a gentle and kind spirit, a good sense of humor, and a smile that would brighten your day, even if it took some work to get it out of him. He enjoyed cars, especially the fast ones, building Lego sets, movie nights, eating his mom’s delicious home-cooked meals, and playing jokes on family members. He found the most joy in simply being surrounded by family! Enrique was diagnosed with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy at a young age. Although his diagnosis posed many physical challenges for him, especially into his teenage and young adult years, his positive attitude and happy spirit never wavered. Enrique loved going to school, and especially loved his teachers that poured knowledge, encouragement, and kindness into him daily. He climbed and conquered that mountain, graduating from high school in May of 2021! Perhaps the most special day for him and his loved ones was the day Enrique accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior! There is no doubt, that he loved like Jesus, unconditionally, to everyone present in his life. He left a big impression in the hearts of all he encountered. He most definitely has a large village here on Earth to carry out his memory!
Although our hearts are broken, we know that Enrique is walking, running, and dancing in the presence of Jesus Christ. He is fully healed! We cling to the promise that we will be reunited with him one day in Heaven.
