Cat in the Hat Sighted at Clinton Primary

In honor of Dr. Suess’ birthday on March 2 and the “Read Across America Day” on March 3, the “Cat in the Hat” appeared at Clinton Primary in first grade classrooms.  The rhyming language of “There’s a Wocket in my Pocket” was read to 8 first grade classrooms.  Rhyming words is a useful skill most first graders know.  Bonnie Raff, Literacy chair for John Cain-Benjamin Culp Chapter of DAR was the reader.  She saw many “Cat in the Hat” dressed students at school.  The whole week will have different activities each day and devote some time to the love of reading that Dr. Seuss brought into early reading with his wacky language and imaginary animals.  Parents, please read with your child this week and every week.
