Hempstead County Farm Bureau honored and recognized three retirees from Board of Directors

HOPE – Hempstead County Farm Bureau has honored and recognized three retirees from their Board of Directors. These three men contributed so much to Hempstead County agriculture and Hempstead County Farm Bureau.

Mr. Ned Ray Purtle passed away prior to retiring, with 48 years of service on our board of directors.

Mr. Glen Ford tragically passed away a few months after retiring, while contributing 46 years of service to the board. (Their plaque was accepted by their families).

Mr. Ernest Brown retired after serving 10 years on the board.

All three of these individuals were instrumental in the growth, advocacy, and efforts of Farm Bureau in this great county. Because of their leadership, Hempstead County agriculture & Farm Bureau is stronger and more prominent than it has ever been.
