Blevins School Board

The Blevins School Board met in the cafeteria on Monday (3-10) After the prayer, pledge, and approval of the minutes, the financial report was reviewed and approved. New business included approval of the Arkansas School Board Association’s winter policy updates and the ASBA Worker’s Compensation.  ERate (Telecommunications support program) bids were discussed with a vote. Fixed assets that were still on the list were voted to be removed. A board-to-board student transfer was denied.

Superintendent Stephanie Dixon shared details of bus repairs for one of the buses. The senior boys basketball success in the state tournament was highlighted, they made it to the final four for 1-A. The costs associated with the travel and overnight stay were presented to the board.

The board went into an executive session for personnel matters and evaluation and voted to accept the personnel as discussed upon reconvening.
