Brush Fire Near Washington

The Washington Volunteer Fire Department responded to a grass and brush fire shortly before 4pm Monday (3-17) at 5255 US 278 West just north of Washington.  The Hempstead County Sheriff’s Department also responded as did the Cross Roads VFD.  The gusty winds the area was receiving was contributing to the fire.
