DAR Hosts Commemoration for Viet Nam Veterans in Hope

The John Cain-Benjamin Culp chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution conducted a commemoration of the end of the Veit Nam war Saturday (3-29) at the old Hempstead County Courthouse.  Terrie James welcomed those attending and Steve Lance led the National Anthem.  Local men that gave their life in View Nam were named and honored.  Mayor Don Still offered a proclamation naming March 29th as “Viet Nam War Veterans Day” in Hope.  The veterans were honored for their service with special pins.
