Rosston City Council

The Rosston City Council met in City Hall on Monday. After the meeting was called to order and there was a prayer and the pledge of allegiance, March’s minutes were reviewed and approved. The Budget was then reviewed with the total balance of $294, 751.94.
The audit has been reviewed and issues found were addressed. These included records not being properly kept.
During April’s Meetings the Tornado Alert System and Storm Shelter Location were talked about. The Nevada School Buildings are opened as a shelter. The mayor asked if it was open during school hours as well. He expressed his concern about safety issues of doing so. A Council Member said she would check on the issue.
The issue of the sirens and Civic Red warning system were also raised. Some people didn’t receive the warning and not everyone is on Facebook. A motion passed to reactivate the local siren(s). There is one in the center of Rosston and one on 200.
A council member brought up the issue of not being able to find his water meter and the mayor said he knew where it was.
The meeting adjourned.
